Mr. Boran Pikula obtained his academic degrees (Dipl. Ing., M. Sc, Ph.D.) at University of Sarajevo, Mechanical Engineering Faculty, Department for IC Engines and Vehicles. The majority of his research work is related to diesel fuel injection systems and possibilities of alternative fuels application. However, since Mr. Pikula works as an associate professor on the group of subjects related to motor vehicles, the main research topics are the dynamics of motor vehicles, the development and the analysis of vehicle active safety systems, the optimization of fuel consumption, the utilization of fleet management, as well as the use of alternative fuels (LPG, CNG, biodiesel). During 2009-2010, Mr. Pikula was a responsible project leader from Bosnia and Herzegovina in the European FP7 project TRANSBONUS. Together with his students, Mr. Pikula developed a new approach for student’s testing of motor vehicles and it will be used in workshop during the Sarajevo Green Design Festival.
