DŽENANA BIJEDIĆ
Dženana Bijedić, Faculty for Architecture Sarajevo, Vice Dean for International Cooperation, is also head of the Chair for Architectural Structures and Building Technology. The focus of her interest, in last ten years, is in environmental issues, especially environmental degradation related to construction and building materials.
Dženana Bijedić gained her degree in architecture at University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. She continued development of her carrier at the University of Sarajevo where she researched management of architectural projects (theses for Master of Science degree) and consequently management of environmental limits related to defining the architectural space (Ph.D. in Architecture and Town Planning degree). During her research for doctoral thesis she was awarded Hubert H. Humphrey scholarship and was admitted to Massachusetts Institute of Technology where she completed Special Program for Urban and Regional Studies (SPURS).
As teacher at the Sarajevo Faculty of Architecture she attempts to enhance students understanding of importance of holistic, integrated approach to defining architectural space.
